MICHAEL'S GYM WHILE THE REST OF THE DIVISIONS WILL GET AN EARLIER START AND PLAY THEIR GAMES AT THE BIG GYM LOCATED AT RIO AMERICANO HIGH SCHOOL. JAMBA JUICE WILL BE ON HAND AT BOTH LOCATIONS. WHAT A GREAT REGULAR SEASON: This past weekend was crazy with all the basketball action and the flurry of doubleheaders we had happening in five of our divisions. In fact, the ADV-NBA had doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday. That's right. Four games in two days. Now that the regular season is done, the seedings are set and the playoffs are ready to begin. Congratulations to all the teams for a successful regular season and obviously, the best of luck to all the teams competing this Sunday. 

K-NBA, 1ST-NBA, AND 2ND-NBA TAKE A WEEK OFF; WILL FINISH SEASON ON SUNDAY MARCH 21ST: Believe it or not, it will be our youngsters who will play the final game of the season. The K, 1, and 2 group will finish up on Sunday March 21st at St. Michael's Gym, bringing the 2010 JR-NBA/WNBA campaign to a close.

ARCO ARENA CHAMPIONSHIP DATES EXPLANATION: I wanted everyone to understand what goes into scheduling the dates for our Championship Games. Do I have a date in mind before the season starts ... yes? In this case it was originally going to be Sunday March 28th with a full slate of activity. The Sacramento Kings were on a 5-game road trip and it seemed to be the perfect date. But, in addition to the Kings are other events (like concerts, rodeos, etc.) that also come into play. In this case, it was the NCAA Women's Tournament who took that weekend and the five days prior to the event. That left us with Plan B. We had two choices. The dates in March or in early April. That is what set the revised schedule in motion so that we could secure the dates at Arco. I understand that school events have been scheduled and each year I have to deal with kids not being available because of Spring Break. Simply put, it's not a perfect science.
