DJ: ST. JOHN EVANGELIST MOTHER-SON SPORTSORAMA

ST. JOHN EVANGELIST GYM (Carmichael, CA): I believe this was my third year of hosting the Annual Mother-Son Sportsorama and each year I find that we always outdo ourselves with the activities and the energy we have amongst the group of SJE students and their mothers. Our first activity was the Ultimate Scooter Race. Scooters always seem to bring out the fun in everyone. We then transitioned into a little dancing just to keep the energy high. Next up was the Birthday game in which the moms blew out the boys to be first to put themselves in order according to their birthdays (boys didn’t have a chance in this one). This year I added a kickball game. Our first game featured K-3 against the moms and it was the moms who came out victorious with a 7-6 victory thanks to a game-winning homerun. In the 4th-8th Grade game, it was a different story as the boys were big 17-5 winners. I then let the moms take a break while we played a game of Noodle Monster Tag with the boys. The idea was to get them tired so that the moms could dominate the final event of the evening: Dodgeball. The moms won the K/1st game, but the boys showed they had enough left in the tank to win the 2nd/3rd, 4th-6th, and 7th/8th games. Before you know it, another Sportsorama was in the books. As always, I had a blast! Thank you SJE for a great night of fun!

2012 SLY PARK BASKETBALL CAMP

I have always been a big fan of Steve Williams who has run the SLY PARK BASKETBALL CAMP since 1982. That’s 29 years of hosting over 12,500 graduates during the summer. So, I am more than happy to endorse one of the premiere basketball camps in Northern California. I have always told people that if your son/daughter wants to eat, drink, and breathe basketball, SLY PARK is the place to go. Your child will spend six days and five nights away from home just soaking in plenty of basketball fun. There is plenty of information listed below and be sure to e-mail Steve Williams at slypark@gotnet.net if you have any questions.

DJ/AUCTIONEER: ST. IGNATIUS GALA AUCTION

MARCH 10TH, 2012: CROATIAN AMERICAN CULTURAL CENTER (Sacramento, CA): What an incredible night for St. Ignatius School. My original plan was to be the DJ for the night, but I was called to duty to auctioneer the live auction portion of the program. So, along with Fernando my assistant, we made it happen. I had a blast helping raise money for the school. It was a successful night that was capped off with dancing until midnight. And on top of that, we all lost an hour of sleep with Daylight Savings.
