B’NAI ISRAEL (Sacramento, CA): This was a great DAY Bar Mitzvah! The theme was “colors” and there was no doubt that this celebration had a lot of color to it. There were a lot of great highlights to this party as we celebrated Rachael with her family and friends.
1. Glad was able to get the couple of shots of Rachael in the temple as she carried the Torah around.
2. Rachael’s smile. She’s always smiling.
3. The Slide Show. Impressive as mom and dad combined pictures and video in an eloquent fashion.
4. The food. The Grand Family went with Old Spaghetti Factory on the Go. Great idea and of course … great pasta!
5. Cameron! OMG. Rachael’s friend has more energy than I can possibly describe. And her friends told me I was just seeing the surface.
6. Hora! Gotta love the Hora. I think brother Ethan had a lot of fun going up in the chair.

8. Reunion: The Grand Family allowed kids from the current Confirmation class to come serve under the direction of Sue Schooley. I had been the DJ for Erin and Riane, Aly, and Eli. Their picture is included.

SIERRA OAKS SCHOOL (Sacramento, CA): Fun event! Ali Sandman approached me with the idea and I knew I had to be a part of the fun. It’s a Bingo Night with a twist. Everyone comes in costume. The theme was disco. So we had lights going and disco music playing. We then played five different games of Bingo. There was straight bingo, four corners, last one standing, the frame game, and blackout for the grand prize … a Sierra Oaks inscripted IPOD Nano.
The fun part was that once someone yelled “Disco” and we had verification of a winner, the lights went out and everyone had to dance. That was the best part for me. And it made the night really fun. And of course, I love coming out to Sierra Oaks where there is so much family participation. So … congratulations to all of the winners on the night (my favorite one was the winner on last one standing where 11 numbers were called out before being declared the winner).

Here is the schedule for the upcoming PHOTO DAY. PHOTO DAY will take place on Sunday February 5th in the North Gym at Sacramento State inside of Yosemite Hall. Make sure to have your forms filled out beforehand. If you do forget your form, extra forms will be available on site. We are happy to welcome back Terry Ryan and his staff from Spectrum Photography in Orangevale. Forms will be handed out by the coaches at the games this Sunday January 22nd.
