COMMUNITY: DEZVISIONIMAGES.COM

I wanted to introduce you to DezVisionImages.com. I love meeting other people who have unique ideas and this is certainly one of them. I met Phil and Olivia while I was hosting the Mother-Son Event at St. Elizabeth in Elk Grove. They were the official photographers for the evening and did a great job. I spoke a little with Olivia after the event and she began to tell me of these parties they do where people arrive at the party and then get ‘glammed’ up and each do a photo shoot where they get to be the ‘star of the night.’ I thought to myself that many of us are always thinking of new ideas for a party theme. I think this is certainly one you should try. Be sure to check out the website and you can contact Phil or Olivia if you have any additional questions.

KID BDAY: JAKE’S 9TH “SPORTS EXTRAVAGANZA”

ST. MICHAEL’S GYM (Carmichael, CA): This is my kind of party. No messing around. We didn’t even do one dance. This party for Jake’s 9th was about SPORTS. So here it is in a nutshell: NOODLE MONSTER TAG (to get the juices flowing), BIG BALL SOCCER, KICKBALL, and DODGEBALL. Follow that up with hot dogs and birthday cake and you have yourself a great party. BIG BALL SOCCER was intense as the game went to Sudden Death Overtime with JD scoring the game-winning goal. In KICKBALL, the GIANTS were in the Home Run mood as they were easy 23-9 winners over the YANKEES. And in our DODGEBALL battle, the MONKEYS were 3-1 series winners over the PANDAS. All in all, this was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Lots of fun!

DJ: ALEJANDRA’S QUINCEANERA

ALEJANDRA’S BACKYARD (Sacramento, CA): I have DJ’d hundreds of events, but this was my very first Quinceanera. And when you have a celebration of any sort, it’s a good idea to involve the Chacon Family. They know how to have fun. On this day, the celebration was for Alejandra who was celebrating turning 15 years old. Sure it was a little warm (88 degrees), but the beautiful backyard ceremony was followed by the customary waltz honoring Alejandra. Everyone enjoyed a home-cooked Mexican Fiesta and then … let the fun begin. It started with a little dancing, but then the Chacon boys (Sean, Montague, and Loyola) gave everyone a show with their diving board tricks. There are pictures to prove it. There was dancing, people in the pool, a pinata, Alejandra’s birthday cake, and a lot of fun.

EMCEE/HOST: 2ND ANNUAL ST. ELIZABETH MOM-SON FIESTA

ST. ELIZABETH GYM (Elk Grove, CA): This was my second year with the moms and their boys from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. It was a Fiesta theme this year. This group is great. When I arrived at 5:00 for just the music portion of my program, the boys were ready to rumble. While everyone got a bite to eat, I was anticipating how much energy these boys really had. Well, they passed the test because we got going at 6:00 with an extended game of NOODLE MONSTER TAG. That was followed by the PEEL PEEL song. The moms were then invited out as we all did the CHA CHA SLIDE followed by the CHICKEN DANCE. Then we did something new this year with the SCOOTER RACES. It was the one time I actually had time to take photos. We then had some great games of DODGEBALL followed by a raffle and a big game of KICKBALL that the boys won 16-5. Once again, St. Elizabeth did a great job of hosting a great event!
